The Trial Bar Award is a recognition of excellence given by peers to trial attorneys who have distinguished themselves in the cause of justice. It is considered a high honor among New Jersey trial attorneys since it is presented by peers who understand and share the demands of trial work.
In presenting the award, TANJ President Paul G. Nittoly described Jim as a “lawyers lawyer, with a sense of humor.”
Jim Martin has successfully tried hundreds of cases in areas such as medical malpractice, products liability, construction litigation, civil rights, negligence and catastrophic injury. He was named “2006 Super Lawyer” by New Jersey Monthly Magazine and awarded the 2006 Civil Trial Practicioner of the Year Award by the Middlesex County Bar Association.
Jim was also recently named “Irishman of the Year” by the Central Jersey Friendly Sons of St. Patrick and the Central Jersey Emerald Society. He is the founder and president of the Jersey Knights Youth Soccer Club and a former Trustee of the North Brunswick Little League.
He and his wife Mille reside in North Brunswick. They have five children Jeff, J.D., John, Jared and Jess all of whom were in attendance at the award ceremony.
