Public Relations and Cause Marketing Executive Helps NJ Boys & Girls Clubs Win Best Statewide Organization
NJ Boys & Girls Clubs was recently awarded two national bests from the national organization -- one for Best Marketing Effort and another for State Best Area Council. Chris Rosica, CEO of Rosica Strategic Public Relations, a volunteer who created the NJ Boys & Girls Club Marketing Advisory Board to help bolster the nonprofit's visibility and public affairs efforts, and Connie Ludwin, State Director of Boys & Girls Clubs of New Jersey, received the awards.
Baltimore MD…The College of New Jersey’s men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams competed in a two-day tri-meet with Johns Hopkins University and Division II West Chester University on Saturday. The Lion men and women were both handed a pair of losses from the high ranked opponents as the Lion men had their perfect season and seven meet unbeaten streak come to an end. On the men’s side of things, JHU beat TCNJ 237-91, while West Chester University posted a 225-105 win. TCNJ is now 4-2 on the season. TCNJ’s last dual meet loss came at the hands of Johns Hopkins a year ago, 184.5 to 165.5 on January 20, 2007.
TCNJ’s junior Greg Lloyd (Ringoes, NJ/Hunterdon Central) took a pair of first for the Lions, winning the one meter with his score of 252.94 and adding a 299.55 to win the three meter event.
Senior Liam Gallagher (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) added two second place finishes as he posted a time of 1:59.83 in the 200 individual medley and a second in the 200 backstroke in 2:01.28.
Junior Mike Heaney (Voorhees, NJ/Bishop Eustace) took third in the 200 breaststroke in 2:02.63, while Gallagher added a fourth in the 400 individual medley in 4:18.00. Freshman Joe Tseng (East Hanover, NJ/Hanover Park) took fifth in the 400 IM in 4:20.51,while freshman Tom Medvecky (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway) took fourth in the 200 freestyle in 1:45.73. Medvecky added a seventh place finish in the 500 freestyle in 4:57.14
Senior Josh Forsman (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Memorial) took home fourth in the 100 butterfly in 53.34, while with his time of 1:57.31. Junior Thomas Nawrot (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) took third in the 100 backstroke in 55.17, while freshman Tim Rauch (Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough) picked up fifth in the 500 free in 4:56.77 and a third in the 1,650 freestyle in 17:03.44.
Sophomore Myles O’Connor (Santa Monica, CA) took fifth in the 200 breaststroke in 2:15.74.
